The Arab Spring and a New Era of Policy Analysis for Morocco

The Arab Spring and a New Era of Policy Analysis for Morocco
Since 2011, which marked the beginning of the “Arab Spring”, North Africa including Morocco has gone through many challenges, twists and reforms on many levels. It’s an interesting, dynamic and evolving period of history. An extraordinary stream of youthful energy flows through North Africa and Morocco. An unprecedented phenomenon!

In Morocco, this wave of change has favored the elaboration of a new constitution giving new alternatives for people to bring about positive change through the culture of debate, analysis, collective reflection and policy deliberation.

During her talk, Meriem El Hilali will identify some of the best models of positive change that have been acting through policy analysis in Morocco, namely the MENA POLICY HUB, a young platform that works diligently on developing new policy perspectives based on evidence based processes of reflection deliberation and advocacy in various fields.
