Meriem El Hilali

Biography

Meriem El Hilali is a Diplomatic Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco. Before joining the Ministry, Meriem worked as a project manager for Google cloud computing products in North Africa, Google Apps for Edu. She also took part in organizing a business development trade mission led by assistant U.S. Secretary of Commerce in Morocco in 2011 with the U.S. Commercial Service where she wrote final thesis about FTA and matchmaking between U.S. foreign investors and Moroccan local partners.
Meriem is also cofounder and president of a young organization called the Mena Policy Hub (MPH) dedicated to evidence based policy analysis. She has a MA in International Marketing and Commercial Affairs from the National School of Trade and Management, Hassan 1st University and has also graduated from the Moroccan Academy of Diplomatic Studies in Rabat. Her native language is Arabic, and she is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
