Anthony Mills

Biography

Tony Mills directs R Street’s science policy program, which aims to equip policymakers, especially Congress, with more and better scientific expertise and to advance public policies that stimulate basic science. He researches and writes about a range of topics including science, technology, philosophy, the administrative state and the role of expertise in governance.

Prior to his arrival at R Street, Tony was managing editor of RealClear Media Group and editor of RealClearPolicy. He has worked for numerous publications, including The New Atlantis, Big Questions Online and several academic publications. Previously, he held positions at Williams & Jensen, the Manhattan Institute and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Tony’s writings have appeared in various peer-reviewed journals and such popular publications as Slate, RealClearPolitics, Pacific Standard, City Journal, First Things and The New Atlantis. A scholar associate of the Society of Catholic Scientists, he is currently writing a book about science and philosophy.
