Stephanie Diem

Biography
Stephanie Diem is a professor and engineering plasma physicist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s College of Engineering, Department of Nuclear Engineering & Engineering Physics. She is the PI of the Pegasus-III Fusion Energy Experiment and is involved in the development of design frameworks for the construction of clean energy technologies with an emphasis on energy equity and environmental justice. Professor Diem is a member of the National Academies’ New Voices in Science, Engineering, and Medicine and was a featured speaker at the 2022 White House Summit on a Bold Decadal Vision for Fusion Energy.
