Sofía Castillo

Biography

Sofía Castillo is a governance specialist, practitioner and researcher working on deliberative democracy. She has co-designed and implemented several deliberative initiatives in Latin America, including Mexico’s first deliberative process and Resurgentes, the region’s first platform of interconnected climate assemblies. She has also led research on mainstreaming participatory and deliberative democracy, democratic innovation, and mutual learning between the Global South and North. She currently works at the ISWE Foundation as Global Partnerships Lead.
