Mark Anthony Thomas is the President and CEO of the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC), the civic and economic organization for the Baltimore Region with more than 400 private sector partners. Mark has served in high-profile leadership roles for the Pittsburgh Region, New York City, and Los Angeles shaping complex economic transformation strategies in each market. Before entering the field of economic development, Mark worked in the media sector, shaping creative content and investigative journalism on cities and development. The Atlanta-native is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BA), Columbia (MPA), and MIT (MBA) and has been recognized nationally for his impact in local economic development and media.
