Biography

Luca Dellafiora is an Associate Professor of Food Chemistry at the University of Parma (Parma, Italy) with over a decade of academic and research experience in food and environmental safety, toxicology, and computational modeling. A molecular biologist by training with expertise in in silico modeling for proteins, toxins and drugs, Prof. Dellafiora has built a recognized track record in the application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in toxicology assessment. Integrating computational and experimental approaches to bridge toxicology, molecular biology, and risk assessment, his research focuses on foodborne and environmental xenobiotics, contaminants, and bioactive compounds, as well as the biology and virulence of microorganisms from a molecular standpoint.
