Lexi Shultz

Biography

Lexi Shultz is AGU’s vice president of public affairs, where she develops strategy and implements initiatives to shape policy and inform society about Earth and space science. She also works on programs providing scientists with the skills, support and opportunities they need to effectively engage with policymakers.

Before joining AGU, Shultz spent eight years at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where she was part of an effort to restore scientific integrity to the policymaking process and then worked on the climate and energy program, including most recently as a legislative director. Prior to her role at the Union of Concerned Scientists, Shultz served as director of legislative and regulatory affairs at the Mineral Policy Center (now Earthworks) and as a staff attorney at the U.S. Public Interest Research Group (now Environment America).
