Kei Koizumi

Biography

Kei Koizumi is a longtime science policy leader currently serving as Principal Deputy Director for Science, Society, and Policy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Previously, he served as Senior Advisor for Science Policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) between 2017 and 2019. He was Assistant Director for Federal R&D, and Senior Advisor for the National Science and Technology Council, at OSTP from 2009 to 2016 in the Obama Administration. Koizumi earned his MA in International Science and Technology Policy at the George Washington University (where he has taught science policy) and his BA from Boston University in Political Science and Economics.
