Biography
Darshan Karwat is an assistant professor in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and The Polytechnic School at Arizona State University. He is originally from Mumbai, India, but feels equally at home in Michigan or Washington, DC (and now, the Valley!). He studied aerospace engineering and environmental ethics at the University of Michigan. He then spent three years as a AAAS Fellow in Washington, DC, first at the US EPA on the Innovation Team, where he worked on climate change resilience, and low-cost air pollution sensors, and then at the US DOE in the Water Power Technologies Office, helping design and run the Wave Energy Prize.
