Biography

Ericka Ford is Director of the Textile Technology Program at North Carolina State University and an Assistant Professor in the Wilson College of Textiles, with joint appointments in the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science and the Nonwovens Institute. Previously, Ford served as a National Research Council postdoctoral awardee in Chemical and Biological Defense, Science and Technology at the US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center. Ford earned her undergraduate degree in Polymer Fiber Engineering from Georgia Tech, a master’s degree in Polymer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a PhD in Textiles and Fiber Engineering from Georgia Tech.
