Dan Hicks

Biography

Dan is a philosopher of science, ethicist, and science and technology studies [STS] scholar. His academic research focuses on the role of ethical and political values in science and public scientific controversies. This work touches on biomedical ethics, research ethics, and science communication; but his interests tend to be on politically-motivated technical controversies and policy decisionmaking under uncertainty.
